We travelled, saw family and went to a few holy places.

Only one casual skirt was constructed, only one blog recipe was written (PB&J) and he has learned to wash his own laundry.

Paraklesis has been a joy and family treat.

So I'd say we had the most successful summer! I especially enjoyed hearing about Harry's inventiveness in folding towels, or at least attempting to fold them!

Those kind of memories are among my favorites... times of kids being the wonderful, curious, inventive creatures that they are.

I especially enjoyed the day that Julio and Carmen came rushing into the house all excited with their plan to dig a hole deep enough that they could create a fort in it. At first I hesitated, thinking of the potential dangers, but looking at their excited, happy, expectant faces reminded me to not squelch their estimate of their capabilities (it was unlikely they would be able to finish such a task) and their anticipated fun. "Sure," I said. "Go ahead but only if you will let me come into your fort when you're done."

The fort never materialized, of course, but they had a great time and their world expanded a bit by imagining a goal and working on it to the best of their ability.
And I enjoyed being a part of it, too. : )

Love you, Liz Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18210076080776294094noreply@blogger.com
