Today's JAR- Transfiguration

Today's JAR   Just a Reminder.  Tomorrow we remember the Feast of Transfiguration. This is a Major Feast Day of the Lord. Since we are in the middle of the fast to the Virgin Mary, fish is permitted tomorrow.

 Apolytikion
You were transfigured on the Mount, Christ God revealing Your glory to Your disciples, insofar as they could comprehend. Illuminate us sinners also with Your everlasting light, through the intercessions of the Theotokos. Giver of light, glory to You.

I was raised Roman Catholic and was accustomed to the older and more Traditional mass. Now we have moved to an area where this is not available so we now attend Divine Liturgy at a Skete. Can you give me any advice for teaching my children about the liturgy and customs of the East? Which of your Blog posts do you recommend? Thanks!

thank you for your post. I don't know of any blogs or websites, but I can recommend a few websites that have books:

Potamitis Publishing has books on the saints.

Orthodox Children's Press has info and activities.

I don't know how old your children are, but this helped my little boy.
